Pride Georgina is committed to digital accessibility, and to conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, and complying with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) effective communication requirements, and other applicable regulations.

As part of Pride Georgina’s continual effort to increase the useability and functionality of our website for all our users, we test and evaluate our new and refreshed websites for conformance to the required standards. This site was built on Wix, a platform developed with accessibility in mind. Wix builds its components with correct semantics so people with disabilities can better navigate and understand content. The site's structure is automatically arranged so visitors using keyboards and screen readers can move through pages in a logical order.

The site's accessibility features are developed in line with WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), the global standard published by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) for accessible web content.

While Pride Georgina strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.  We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.
